IRL – I just came across this term in one of my online venues. It means In Real Life. I can relate. I want to have real people i.e. friends to do art with IRL! I have many art acquaintances, friends even, via Facebook, Yahoo groups and online classes – but I would like to do projects and go on excursions IRL – yes IN REAL LIFE.
I learn from real life encounters – wouldn’t it be fun to go together to a Kelly Kilmer class in Loveland in July, or on a field trip like First Saturday’s at the Denver Art Museum?
Hot night, cold beer and art with friends - what's not to love?
I started wanting to have an Art Journaling Club a couple of years ago. We got one started about this time last year with 6 people. Then 2 people moved away and 2 people never showed and with 2 people left – it ain’t a club. Or a group…It’s Judy and me.
So we’re inviting you! If you live in the metro-Denver area or north to the CO border you are invited to join our art journaling club! We could organize it in many different ways, but we would like to meet once a month on a Friday afternoon or evening, or both. We could use my clubhouse or we could move from one person’s place to another depending on what works. There are any number of projects we could work on together, or we could just work in our own art journal du jour…

So if you are interested contact me, Lori Wostl at loriw at artcampforwomen dot com and we will see what is next. I promise this is not to promote my business – this is just to have an Art Jounaling Club IRL!
